We always felt completely safe here, which added so much peace of mind to our holiday. The cleanliness is simply impeccable – everything spotless and fresh, every day. The entire place is beautifully organized, with a layout that makes it feel both spacious and homely. The kitchen is especially well thought out: each room has its own assigned table, cupboard, and set of plates, utensils, and cooking items, which keeps things wonderfully neat and easy for everyone. And then there is Catarina – what a host! She is truly the heart of this place. Warm, sincere, and full of genuine care, she puts her soul into making her guests feel welcome and valued. She visits daily to tidy and refresh the common areas, replace the flowers, and, more often than not, surprise guests with delicious homemade or local treats. She is thoughtful, adaptable, and always ready to help – whether it’s offering great local tips or simply checking in via message to see if we needed anything. We felt so looked after and appreciated her kindness enormously. The property itself feels like a peaceful haven – quiet, comfortable, and infused with warmth and charm. Everything here has been designed with the guest’s comfort in mind, and you can feel the love and pride that goes into it. We travel often, but this stay will remain a highlight for us. If you’re looking for a spotless, perfectly located, safe, and beautifully run accommodation with a host who truly cares, look no further – this is the place! We would return in a heartbeat.

Fabulous staff that are as welcoming as they are helpful and incredibly clean! I loved the place, even though we had to share bathrooms. Never saw such a well maintenanced guesthouse and so clean. Up on arriv Al you get a delicious pastel de nata and also fresh water. The staff is so friendly and helpful and also very good cooks.

Eduarda is a great hostess and the whole team at Solar de Santo Andre is very accommodating, hospitable, helpful and friendly. The house has been painstakingly renovated and the old rooms from earlier times have been made incredibly beautiful. The rooms, which are open to the public, are reminiscent of how Ponta Delgada used to be and how people used to live there. The guest rooms are very modern and equipped with all the necessary details to make you want to spend time there. I had booked the studio and was absolutely satisfied. The rooms are nicely furnished, are cleaned daily and you have everything you need for your vacation. Breakfast is served in the kitchen with a large table where all guests can sit down. The breakfast offers everything your heart desires: different types of bread, a selection of cold meats and cheese, fruit, yoghurt, coffee or tea is served as well as a homemade juice that varies daily. All guests meet at breakfast and the room invites you to chat. The garden with pool is perfect for relaxing after an eventful day. I had a wonderful time at the Solar de Santo Andre and can only recommend anyone to stay there!

Everything was absolutely good. We were really appreciate for breakfast, especially the breakfast box on the last early morning. The staff is very flexible and very kind. The environment is really modern and clean. All together we spent amazing time on Sao Miguel and Vila Rosario was perfect for us.
