As often in town: little traffic of the small street can be heard, but we did no expect anything else.

Fantastic location inside the old city walls. One night wasn't long enough but Carla helped us plan our sight seeing to make the best use of the time we had in Evora. She was wonderfully welcoming and made us feel like friends. The house is separated into 4 guest rooms with a shared kitchenette and fabulous rooftop terrace, and the owners had separate living quarters, so were on hand if we needed anything but not in our space. We loved it and would definitely book again.

Casa Saramago is a quaint property, located in Monsaraz, a medieval village classified as a National Monument. The house features an outdoor swimming pool and a garden and is located a 30-minute drive from the border to neighbouring Spain. We loved the traditional warmth of the place and the family and folks who owned Casa Sarmago. We were there during the early part of their season and still we were treated like royalty. Breakfast was delicious and varied and we enjoyed it in the sunny patio.

All rooms feature air conditioning, wooden floors, and a private bathroom. The property is lovely, right in the center of Arraiolos. The rooms are spacious, the property in general has plenty room and the staff is really sweet. Would love to be back!
