The accommodation is absolutely beautiful and lovingly furnished. The location is perfect – you get a stunning view of the ocean, the island of Pico, and the majestic Pico Mountain. The shared kitchen is very well equipped, making it easy to cook and enjoy meals. We also loved the lovely outdoor area, which is perfect for relaxing. The people at the guesthouse (host members) were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great tips and always ready to assist with any questions we had. From the moment we arrived, we felt very welcome and comfortable. I can highly recommend this place and am already looking forward to returning!

Our room was clean with excellent air conditioner. It’s located in the small town area by the ocean. The ferry is very close and in walking distance. We took it to Pico to spend the day. The breakfast is nice with various breads and local cheeses which I love. There is also fresh fruit… coffee and tea. The tourist office is nearby and they offered various tour guides. The cute parks nearby have WiFi as well as the hotel. There is a natural swimming pool very close by as well. I think this is an excellent choice hotel for this island.

We had a very nice time at the home of Ruis, and we only wish we could stay longer. The house is very clean, the room we booked comes with a nice private bathroom, and we could also use the kitchen. The hosts waited for us at the port, as our boat was late, explained the most beautiful points on the island, and helped with our car rental, and found a taxi for the faja hike we did one day. In the evening we had very nice conversations with Rui the uncle, while listening to the most fantastic cries of the cagarro birds flying above our heads and the nearby rock - it is one of the most memorable things from this island. The house is 15-ish minutes walk to the center of Velas, as well a big supermarket. The whole town is very safe and pleasant. The island is very beautiful, with some dramatic scenery, and our most honest advice would be to stay longer on Sao Jorge, if possible. The faja hike is one of the most pleasant and enjoyable hikes we have done.

Perched on the mountains of São Jorge Island, Cantinho offers a furnished terrace with an infinity pool and a hot tub. It offers luxurious, air-conditioned apartments with a private patio. Loved the space it provided, Kitchen items were great. The breakfast was good, the pool was nice. Grounds were well taken care of. The staff was super friendly and helpful.
