Everything about the Sao Francisco accommodation was excellent. Starting with the communication with the manager, then the location itself, which is fantastic, the room is clean, nicely furnished, everything is as described. The breakfast is good. Everything you need is on the menu, whether you like cereals, sweet or savoury breakfast, fruit salad, juices, cakes... The woman who serves breakfast is very friendly and takes great care to ensure everything is in order. The manager Sonia is very helpful to make your stay in Funchal perfect. We can only say the best for the manager Sonia and Sao Francisco accomodation.

Casa Da Piedade’s rooms feature wood furniture, as well as a TV and telephone. Each private bathroom includes a walk-in shower. the hotel is magnificent, the rooms, the views, the decoration inside the house. The swimming pool and outside garden space. Great breakfast and wonderful staff. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this hotel to everybody visiting Madeira.

Room with bathroom and balcony: superior stay good location, nearby many llevadas, nice surroundings, great views. good kitchen facilities and really nice decorated house.

Set in Machico, S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal is a recently renovated accommodation, 22 km from Santana's Traditional Houses and 30 km from Marina do Funchal. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 500 metres from Beach Pedradeira. The guest house features family rooms. Great place. New. Balcony in Room 5 was nice to sit and have a beer from the local supermarket (the coffee/pastry shop and small supermarket right past the church are great - staff speak either great English or pretty good English). We overlooked the water- nice. I posted a pic from the balcony. There was also a skylight over the bed if you like stars. Housekeeping was wonderful, and we asked Pedro (very very responsive) for extra towels on Saturday because they're off on Sunday. No problem. Fridge is nice, coffee/pods provided in room were also great, but it was nice to wander down to one of the shops after a day of hiking/sightseeing and sit and have a cup outside. Also- nice places to eat all around, O Recante was fabulous (oh, I'll remember that dessert for a long time) and we had a super nice inexpensive dinner at Muralha's Bar. I can't find any fault with the place other than what I'm sure will be a brief one as they're apparently enlarging the parking area (if they haven't finished already!).

Girao Cape is 12 km away and Santana's Traditional Houses is 43 km from the guest house. I had a wonderful stay at Cozy House. The place was spotlessly clean and the hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Madeira

The apartment is gorgeous and spotless clean. The host is very available, responsive, friendly and welcoming. Check in is completely seamless. The property has a beautiful, sizable garden with a great view of the town and ocean. My partner and I absolutely loved our stay in this property because of all the attention to detail that the host put towards the furnishing and decoration of the apartment, which is a rarity. Some places are furnished expensively but in an impersonal and cold style, but this one is truly someone's home, with great character, that the host is sharing with you.

Situated just 1.8 km from Lugar de Baixo Beach, Panoramic House provides accommodation in Quinta do Almeida with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as a shared kitchen. This property offers access to a pool table and darts. The guest house features mountain views, a sun terrace and a 24-hour front desk. The view of the ocean was amazing. Best place for wine and watching sunsets.

Both free WiFi and parking on-site are available at the guest house free of charge. The accommodation features a shared kitchen and a housekeeping service for guests. Everything was very clean and the owners were so nice. The kitchen was a great place for cooking with all the utilities and even provided some fresh food everyday. We had a really great experience staying here.
