I was able to walk into town (10-15 minute walk) with much scenery. Breakfast was plentiful and so wonderfully presented. Would recommend absolutely and would love to go back to visit again. This is a lovely hotel. It is a small hotel in an old mansion house. Both the rooms and the common rooms feel rich and luxurious. The staff are super friendly. Especially Catarina, who helped us decide what we should visit in Sintra. And there is a lot to visit! The hotel in in a superb location only 10 min walk from the impressive National Palace. I would definitely recommend Chalet Saudade and I hope to visit again one day.

Sharing breakfast at a communal table with other guests was a delightful experience, and we enjoyed our time getting to know the owner. Dinesh, the manager, was incredibly kind and attentive. The location itself is full of charm, and I highly recommend visiting, as it beautifully captures the mystique and distinctiveness of Sintra. It was an absolute joy to stay in this cozy, spotless, and enchanting place.

Hard to know where to start we have traveled widely across the world and this is the best bed and breakfast accommodation we have ever stayed in. It is immaculate, the attention to detail is mind blowing and Ricardo literally could not do more for you, from welcome drinks to little night caps with chocolates at bed time to bottles of water on departure all these little things are not necessary but make for a first class experience. We can’t forget to include Brenda to his wonderful dog who has to be the calmest most well behaved dog we have ever met. The koi fish pond is amazing and the swimming pool is fantastic. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little bit special and lot relaxing thank you for looking after us so well we hope to be back
