The place itself is amazing - located on a hill with breathtaking views, 5 min by car from Monseratte palace and Quinta da Regaleira. The villa is buried in beautiful trees and has a cute little farm on site. The hosts, Alex and Aline, are making a great place even better with their attention to details and personal touch. Sunil and other staff members make you feel a very desired guest, really really welcome. What made our stay absolutely special - we appeared at the place at the day of blackout when NOTHING was working around (supermarkets and restaurants were closed, people got stuck in airports and in trains etc). The hosts and their staff made that evening the best “last day of the world” you could dream of. Alex himself was grilling sausages on BBQ, Aline cut everything she got in the refrigerator (there are normally no dining facilities in the estate), 10 guests were seated around the masters’s table - the feeling was very warm. This is not something you can replicate, but it shows the attitude of the hosts to the guests.

Hard to know where to start we have traveled widely across the world and this is the best bed and breakfast accommodation we have ever stayed in. It is immaculate, the attention to detail is mind blowing and Ricardo literally could not do more for you, from welcome drinks to little night caps with chocolates at bed time to bottles of water on departure all these little things are not necessary but make for a first class experience. We can’t forget to include Brenda to his wonderful dog who has to be the calmest most well behaved dog we have ever met. The koi fish pond is amazing and the swimming pool is fantastic. We would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for something a little bit special and lot relaxing thank you for looking after us so well we hope to be back
