It features an outdoor pool and an on-site restaurant. It was an authentic quinta experience. The property has nice views of the valley. The dinners and breakfasts were great. Generous food and wine/port, and the family style dinners offered the opportunity to get to know other guests. The weather was poor, so we couldn’t really enjoy the lovely outdoor spaces, but we were compensated with a great fire in the main room before and after dinner.

The room was very well maintained and the decoration was wonderful. Exactly as per the photographs and very very clean. Lovely welcome drink & pastry, with drinking water also in supply. Breakfast was served in the attached cafe downstairs, felt really nice to dine at a place where lots of locals call in for their morning coffee's & treats. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Perfect spot for access to the river & wine region.

What an amazing place and warm, wonderful hosts Paolo and Carla make you feel like old friends. Beware, booking.com's directions take you to the wrong house. Follow Google maps to Quinta da Menina Guest house instead and you won't get lost. The place seems brand new but charming. It's spotless and gorgeous. The pool is crystal clear and breakfast is fantastic. Don't make the mistake we made and only book one night. You are going to want to stay at this beautiful oasis and explore the wine area for, at least, a few days. I would have stayed forever if I could.

This recently renovated guest house is located 35 km from Douro Museum and 46 km from Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary. The guest house has family rooms. The hosts were amazing. They went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and enjoyinging ourselves. Her breakfasts are delicious. Make sure you go with a big appetite! And the pool was very refreshing. I truly cannot think of one negative thing to say. (Except my husband would say the bed was too hard.) I would gladly return. If I could give 6 stars, I would. The photos don't do this lovely place justice.
