I am used to staying in 4 and 5 star hotels but this villa experience is more like a luxury bed & breakfast. The food is absolutely gourmet and excellent. The decor in the whole villa and the room is combination of African and French tastes. Whomever did the exterior and interior design has great taste and vision. The location of the villa is quite far from Dakar and in a rather remote area which is a pleasant departure from a city atmosphere. Very tranquil and I slept so well in a very comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The villa also provided transportation to and from the airport at a very reasonable price. The driver, Michel, is a very good driver, efficient and prompt. I cannot say enough good things about Villa Chanalu.
