A very peaceful, romantic place. Historic site a few minutes drive.

No luxury, but old style basic but cozy small rooms in various wooden huts.(Concrete walls inside the hut, so waterproof and bug proof). My hut had an aircon, private bathroom with hot shower and a nice sitting area right outside. The WiFi is excellent, and the friendly owner speaks English and is very travellers oriented and can fill you out with all the information you need. They do breakfast, and at other times, cold drinks are for sale. There is a microwave, so I bought food at 7 eleven so I could spend the evenings in the incredible outdoor common areas. They are a MUST SEE. The decorations, the wooden furniture, the creativity. It's taken them a lifetime to create this. When the lights come on in the evening, it's another WOOW! It was a long walk from the bus station to get there, but it was totally worth it. I would go as far as saying it's worth stopping in Khamphaeng Phet even if you are 'templed out', just to stay here, and by the way, there are so many more to free things to see around in the town and the immediate countryside, than just the temple enclosures. Bicycles and motorbikes are for rent here as well.
