As we like to stay away from the beaches and prefer walking it is no issue that the property is situated a bit away, along the main road.Not very much sounds from the trafic.

The guest house offers bed linen, towels and housekeeping service. After a month of traveling around Africa, this place was our home away from home for two weeks. For an affordable price, we got everything we needed and more. Juma, the receptionist, always greeted us with a smile on his face and was happy to assist with anything we needed in and outside of the hotel. Augustino, the manager, is practically a local and helped us plan our itinerary throughout our stay. Rooms were cleaned and tidied every morning, and laundry services and a restaurant were provided in the hotel. Pool was perfect temperature, and we could even swim at night thanks to beautiful pool lights. The location is a 5 minute walk from the beautiful Nungwi beach, and right next to the local "Cocobello" club. Miti is beautiful, quiet, and intimate, and we are already planning our next trip!

At the guest house, units have a outdoor furniture. Each unit is equipped with a private bathroom with a walk-in shower, while some rooms are equipped with a terrace and others also offer sea views. At the guest house, all units are soundproof. It was a wonderful place to relax, right by the ocean. Falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves was truly special. Olivia and her husband were incredibly kind and welcoming, making us feel completely at home. The village is small but charming, with a beautiful beach and a few cozy restaurants. Mama Root offers breakfast, and upon request, serves delicious lunch and dinner. While there isn’t a 24/7 kitchen, food and drinks are always within easy reach at the nearby beach spots. Overall, we had an amazing time unwinding at Mama Root. Thank you, Mama & Papa Root, for opening your lovely home to us!

The area is popular for cycling, and car hire is available at the guest house. We will miss everything about being at Mango Beach House, the pool, the sunrises, the team, the food and the relaxed vibe.

The lodge is adorable and very laid back, which was perfect for me. As a solo traveler, I particularly appreciated the beach bar, which allowed me to leave me stuff while I went in the water, went for walks on the beach. Value for money is great as well - the staff was very friendly, they organized transfers, the food was great, etc. I hope I’ll be back soon!

Great place to stay, steps from the beach and several restaurants and kite/snorkeling centers. Amina and Issa were very attentive and super friendly. The breakfast was excellent.
