You could see the ocean from every part of the room (including the bath tub and the bathroom) The queen suite was indulgent in every way and just perfect for my birthday getaway. The staff are very kind and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable.

Our stay at Bluemari's Retreat was an absolute delight from start to finish. It is a luxury retreat in every way... a beautiful house and garden in a quiet and safe location which exudes calm and serenity. All rooms are stylish and well equipped with comfy beds, quality bed linen and top notch bathrooms. The outdoor bath in Flamingo is fabulous. The pool area, dining room, lounge and library are beautiful too and we were made to feel so 'at home'. EVERYTHING is of the highest quality and EVERYWHERE is immaculate. Huge thanks to Jan and Evelyne who are superlative hosts, so charming and so efficient with great knowledge of the area. Serving the most delicious breakfasts including perfect poached eggs and omelettes, helping with recommendations for restaurants and adding many personal touches that made our stay so memorable. From homemade biscuits, a cellar of superb wines and a handy phone charger by the kettle to Christmas gifts and music on Christmas morning and an invitation to a braai on our last night. The best hotels just cannot match the style, charm and serenity of Bluemari's Retreat. If you are planning to stay near Cape Town, you must stay here!

Everything was perfect, but Portia and Cindy raised the bar even higher.

Welcome snacks, fruits and wine. Very steep driveway which was quite entertaining to drive :) A word of warning though: some cars (long, or with low suspension) might have problems going up the driveway.
