The decor is nothing short of enchanting—every corner is thoughtfully designed with quirky, creative touches that make the space feel both cozy and inspiring. You can tell a lot of love and intention went into crafting this environment. One of the highlights was the amazing community. It’s a perfect place to connect with like-minded souls—whether you’re traveling solo or with friends. There was a movie night on Sunday that brought everyone together in the best way. At the same time, Wonderland offers plenty of peaceful spots for relaxation. Whether you’re curling up with a book, meditating in a quiet corner, or just soaking in the vibe, it’s a great place to recharge. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. Just a short trip from the city center, it’s easy to explore the beach or dive into local activities. You get the best of both worlds—tranquility and convenience. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already planning our return. Wonderland truly lives up to its name.

The view was magnificent and it was just up the road from the main areas in Hout Bay. Check in and out was easy. I would definitely come back again.

We had a wonderful time at Poseidon Guesthouse. The hosts are so super welcoming and friendly. Always had Tipps where to go and what to do. Breakfast was delicious.

We absolutely loved our stay! The staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The place itself is a little paradise—beautiful, peaceful, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Bluemari's Retreat was an absolute delight from start to finish. It is a luxury retreat in every way... a beautiful house and garden in a quiet and safe location which exudes calm and serenity. All rooms are stylish and well equipped with comfy beds, quality bed linen and top notch bathrooms. The outdoor bath in Flamingo is fabulous. The pool area, dining room, lounge and library are beautiful too and we were made to feel so 'at home'. EVERYTHING is of the highest quality and EVERYWHERE is immaculate. Huge thanks to Jan and Evelyne who are superlative hosts, so charming and so efficient with great knowledge of the area. Serving the most delicious breakfasts including perfect poached eggs and omelettes, helping with recommendations for restaurants and adding many personal touches that made our stay so memorable. From homemade biscuits, a cellar of superb wines and a handy phone charger by the kettle to Christmas gifts and music on Christmas morning and an invitation to a braai on our last night. The best hotels just cannot match the style, charm and serenity of Bluemari's Retreat. If you are planning to stay near Cape Town, you must stay here!

Beautiful property and hosts. Rooms were spotless, the interior design of the whole guest house was fantastic and the hosts and their staff were warm and welcoming. Coffee was outstanding. Martina and Claus also gave us a great recommendation for a stunning hike on table mountain as well. They made sure when we returned in the evening we were safe and sound. Had a nice afternoon walk down to Sandy Bay beach and a workout coming back up the sand dunes. Worth the hike back up from the beach!

Very spacious and clean apartment. Very kind and helpful hosts. Super comfortable beds and couches. Bathtub. Fast and reliable internet. Backup electricity for load shedding. Welcome snacks, fruits and wine. Very steep driveway which was quite entertaining to drive :) A word of warning though: some cars (long, or with low suspension) might have problems going up the driveway.
