El Sunrock Guesthouse ofrece zona de ocio y barbacoa, piscina al aire libre y bar con licencia para servir alcohol. Communication was great before and during stay. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. My room overlooked the pool, view exactly as shown in the picture. Pool lovely and warm. Extra towel given you for swimming. Buffet style evening meal and breakfast - delicious. As a solo traveler felt very safe. Travel to and from airport provided. Very punctual and helpful. Sadly, unable to make the tours/trips they were offering, but will hopefully get to return one day.

Anni - the owner. She is Amazing! We arrived a little flustered as I was nervous for the first time driving on the other side of the road and Booking.com has the wrong address listed. She has requested it be adjusted several times. The front gate did provide the correct address. Upon arrival she showed us the property and got us settled and we immediately needed to do some laundry. She kindly offered to do it for us so that we could explore the area and visit the Apartheid Museum. She gave us recommendations for restaurants and when we returned, we sat and chatted about travel experiences and safety concerns as a woman. I genuinely enjoyed our conversation. We were leaving early in the morning, and she offered to make our breakfast to go. Once we were in the car and opened it we were so impressed. It was as if mom made our lunch and all that was missing was a love note. However, she exceeded those expectations later that week with a message to follow up asking how our trip was going and if we needed any advice or help. Above and beyond. Thank you Anni.

Wonderful team, warm and welcoming reception, and absolutely delicious food – both the dinner (arranged in advance) and the breakfast were outstanding. The room was spacious, the common areas were beautiful and inviting, and the garden was lovely. Since it was cold, we couldn’t enjoy the pool, but everything else was just perfect. A truly wonderful way to say goodbye to South Africa.
