The setup was really comfortable and the host made it an incredible experience. They shared their insights on Knysna and South Africa and helped us refine our itenary for better. Interior was very interesting and the room was perfect with an amazing view of “Two Heads”. We loved our morning and evening teas on the balcony. The Breakfast menu was thoughtful of our vegan lifestyle. My wife became a full fan of their home prepared granola.

The cleanliness, friendliness was exceptional. I did not make use of all the facilities like the pool, due to weather, however it was clean and ready if I wanted to use it.

The Lagoon Suite. I rarely give 10 for every aspect of accommodation but in this case it is absolutely deserved. The sheer quality, size, location and outlook are unique. Contemporary decor with hi-tech electrics coupled with the incomparable views from balconies and picture windows make for a stay in an enormous apartment fit for a magazine feature. Two double bedrooms, two bathrooms huge lounge/diner let out to terrace with sun deck and hot tub with high views over Plettenburg Bay lagoon and ocean. A vast communal day room with kitchen from which personal breakfasts are served freshly to order sits at penthouse level which caps this remarkable set of suites. Must be among the very best anywhere. Service from owner and all staff impeccable. Difficult to recommended the Lagoon Suites highly enough.

Where to begin….. have given this a lot of thought as to how to convey the level of excellence of hospitality we experienced, unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. Sonja and Raneiro are 2 of the most interesting and inspiring people I have ever met, and provide their guests with an exceptional experience on every level, starting with a warm welcome, and a glass of wine, followed by a tour of the most stunning tastefully furnished “house”. The views overlooking the ocean are breathtaking, words and pictures can’t convey the magnificence. The rooms are beautiful, and comfortable, from the bed linen to the natural botanical products. Every detail has been thought through. The breakfast spread, goes above and beyond…. everything of the finest quality, presented so beautifully. Every morning aside from the staples, there were different breads, pastries, cheeses, and meats, including delicious smoked springbok carpaccio ! Every activity S&R recommended was fabulous, we just wished we had booked a couple more nights, but already planing the next visit. Their gentle well behaved dogs were an added bonus, as we are dog lovers
