We were super impressed about the attention to detail. Everything was given extra attention, from the coffee, salt and pepper, dishwashing tablets, toilet spray, great wifi, loved the shower, to the friendly hosts.

Big Skies Guesthouse is situated in Gordon's Bay and only 300 metres away from the beach edged by restaurants and shops. All rooms are air-conditioned and the guest house has an outdoor pool. The location is ideal. Gordon's Bay is a nice little town, not far from Cape Town or the airport. The setting is spectacular, with mountains and sea, and the beach is protected from major waves. There are a number of excellent restaurants within walking distance. The town is safe and the property secure. There is a beautiful drive along the coast towards Betty's Bay, which I highly recommend. There is a colony of African penguins there. Big Skies has a small pool, which we used in the heat of the afternoon. The breakfasts were very good, and there was a decent amount of variety. I enjoy the personal attention of guesthouses and small hotels, and Kobus and Irene were excellent hosts. Conversation at breakfast and the bar with them and other guests was enjoyable. Parking is inside the property gates and is secure.

Situated on an eco-estate with a spectacular view of the whole of False Bay and the backdrop of the Cape mountains, 43 On Sandstone features and outdoor pool. The View is spectacular and we would have been just sitting there and taking it in. The breakfast was also really, really good and every wish was fullfilled. The owners are so nice and we love the service and will come back again.

We booked two villas and two rooms for a family reunion. Every person we interacted with was so kind and helpful and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome and to accommodate us. The breakfast was delicious and the view was breathtaking. A bonus was the beautiful walking trail amongst proteas and indigenous plants and birds! Rooms and villas had everything we needed and more! Everything was spotless and top quality! Villas were spacious and we had plenty of room for everyone. We had a private swimming pool and jacuzzi and access to a well equipped gym! We always felt safe and we had a wonderful time! Hope to come back!
