It's quite far from town but that was why I picked it. There are some restaurants and cafes close by and a convenience store that's just about walkable. There are some good hiking routes nearby and it's really peaceful at night. An old lady was so happy to see me at the bus stop one morning that she gave me money to buy a treat.

We got definitely what we saw on the photos, the description and even more! The apartment was amazingly big, comfortable, totally cozy and lovely decorated as well as absolutely clean and everything seemed to be new. The kitchen offered everything we could have wished for so we could easily cook our meals for dinner at home. The hosts were super friendly and we where happy they proactively liked to help us with spots to visit, transportation options etc. The apartment was located just in front of the beach and the bus stop to go to other beaches or the city center. We absolutely loved the place and Gangneung and will definitely come back! ♡

The location was the main feature for me. I was in Gangneung for the New Year's Day sunrise and I could see it from my window in my room. The check in was very easy, the room was cozy and warm, the facilities were clean. There was a strong food smell in the dining area but I was never really inside of it (just passing by). I did not eat breakfast at the hotel as I was already out before sunrise to see the sunrise. But everyone was very kind to me. I was certainly the only non-Korean person in the hotel and they were all kind to me.

The facility was great as the room was big enough for 2 people, and the bathroom was clean and spacious. There were also some plates, cups, wine glasses and a knife but didn't have any forks or spoons so you should prepare your own if you're planning to eat inside. But other than that, everything was fine. Also the place isn't too far away from the Anmok Beach (it's about 25 minutes by foot). There are lots of places to eat and the Anmok Cafe Street is right by the corner so you can visit the various cafes there as well. Also, the owner is really kind and understanding. We had to leave early in the morning but left something inside the room, so we had to call her to ask for the password to unlock the door. We felt really bad cause I think we woke her up, but she still picked up the phone and was very understanding! I texted her an apology for calling her so early in the morning, and she replied back with kind of words.
