Host goes above and beyond - we had arranged to meet them at the house to collect the keys however we were delayed do to our travel arrangements and didn't end up arriving until 1.30am. I contacted the host and explained and they said not to worry and arranged a place for the keys to be left and if we had any problems to call them no matter what time it was! The house itself was clean and comfortable and more than enough space for 2 adults and 2 children.

Excellent location for exploring the local area, small supermarket opposite for essentials, play park for kids 2min walk, plenty of parking. Was honoured to be the hosts first British guests.

Proximity to Ypres was great, only a short drive away. The house was in a very peaceful location, no other properties nearby, set amongst arable farmland. The cleanliness of property was superb, and the absence of light pollution provides guests with the ability to get a good night’s sleep in a comfortable bed. Marian was lovely, a good host and friendly. She was very attentive without being intrusive. The wood burner made for cosy evenings, and logs are provided for you free of charge. There is a Match supermarket about 3-4 km away, or a Lidl outside Ypres, about a 5km drive. It is also less than an hour’s drive to Bruges, which is well worth a visit.

Very modern and homely, loved the patio area at the back. Really nice to enjoy the evenings chatting and barbecuing. The bathrooms are exquisite and the shower was beautiful for cooling down after a long day. Having bicycles available to explore the village was a really helpful amenity. Cindy is so friendly, warm, welcoming and helpful, what a pleasure to deal with her. Returned our deposit quickly and was flexible with arranging the stay.
