The cottage sits high on the mountain, about 600 meters from an authentic Svan village called Pari. It’s so secluded you can’t even see the village — just you, the mountain, and the views. The cottage is impressively spacious, with enough room for two families with kids, and fully equipped for a comfortable stay. The hosts also offer delicious home-cooked meals at very fair prices, made by a local grandmother. My wife literally had tears in her eyes when she tasted the homemade meat blintzes on our first day; she said it reminded her of her childhood home cooking. Outside, the yard is full of great spots: a shaded sitting area under a fruit tree, two hammocks, a swing perched on the cliff edge (perfect for photos), and a firepit to warm up on cool nights. A supermarket is just a 10-minute drive away for basic supplies.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful mountain cottage! The property looks exactly like the photos. The house has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay, from kitchenware to small, thoughtful touches that make a big difference. It’s also incredibly warm and cozy — we didn’t even need to turn on all the heaters, even though we did use a few as there are several in the house The terrace is a highlight, with comfortable furniture and a breathtaking view. It was the perfect spot to relax at any time of day. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a peaceful and stylish getaway!

Mestia Sunrise Cottage - 3BR Mountain Retreat ligger i Mestia, 2,7 km fra Museum of History and Ethnography og 6 minutters gang fra Mikhail Khergiani House Museum. The house was perfect for us as a family — spacious, spotless, and truly feels like a real home. The kitchen had everything we needed, the wood stove was great with plenty of firewood, and the atmosphere was cozy and pleasant. The location is excellent — at the quiet end of Mestia, with a huge private garden and beautiful views. Although it’s near the road, it’s a calm one, so there’s no noise. The house can easily fit up to seven adults, just keep in mind there’s only one bathroom. The only thing we didn’t love was the shower, which doesn’t have a proper cabin and sometimes had an unpleasant smell. Other than that, everything exceeded our expectations!
