Offering an accommodation with a dive centre, Happy Gecko Dive Resort is located on Bunaken Island in North Sulawesi, just steps from the island’s world-famous beaches and diving sites. It features a private beach area and a restaurant. Amazingly quiet and tucked away in the heart of the most bio-active lagoons that I'd ever had the privilege of visiting. We thoroughly enjoyed the dives with Jimmy, our guide, and the incredible snorkeling that was just 150m away (no current and totally swim-able). Spacious, clean villas. The common area was homely yet it boasts picturesque views to the lagoon and a small mangrove outcrop. Food's great, we were treated to local dishes, usually a fish + veggie + fruit platter for lunch & dinner, while there's a good set of options for breakfast (pancakes; toast; nasi goreng; mee goreng). One thing I truly appreciated was how easy it was to communicate with the hosts, who arranged our dives and transfers professionally and patiently. Everything was a breeze.

This place is absolutely amazing with the sweetest staff, delicious food and an amazing boss who help us out with everything we asked. The bungalows are beautiful and the view from the room is breath-taking. Would absolutely recommend this place to everyone :)

Located right on Bara Beach in Bira, Cosmos Bungalows offers a beautifully simple beachfront accommodation where each bungalow has sea view. Free on-site parking space for guests who drive. The property has a lot of staircases and may not be suitable for elderly or young children. Absolutely beautiful views from the restaurant. The sunsets are amazing. My bungalow was very nice and they cleaned, changed towels and gave water each day (if I wanted). Comfy bed and I liked the outdoor bathroom. Easy access to the water but need to go somewhere else if you want to sit in the sun on the beach. Everyone was friendly and the food was good. Good location just 5 min walk to blue planet dive resort (which was great for diving!)

Peaceful waterfront location with snorkelling available out front. Excellent food and friendly staff. Close to the village. Airport pick-up with transfer to resort available.

Fan-cooled bungalows come with free Wi-Fi and feature garden and sea views. Tea/coffee-making facilities and an en suite bathroom with shower facilities are available. We had a great time at Cakalang Resort. It's located in a great spot and the owners and staff are amazing! Thanks for having us!

Set on a mountain with views of natural scenery, Gardenia Country Inn is a 10-minute drive from Tomohon Traditional Market. Enjoying a peaceful location, it has a meditation pavilion and a hiking trail. Green, manicured garden , magnificent view of Lokon volcano. Easy to find location too. Clean and well maintained.

Housed in hill-facing wooden cottages, the basic rooms are all equipped with a satellite TV and mosquito net. Private bathrooms come with running hot and cold water. Some rooms have a minibar and fridge. A fantastic option near Tomohon: a very spacious house with good internet, and the staff allowed me both early check-in and late check-out.

Full-board Indonesian and western meals, water and tea/coffee are provided for free at the open-air Seafront restaurant.

Spread across 2.5 hectares of tropical gardens, the wooden bungalows are simply furnished with a fan. The private terrace enjoys views of the sea and reef. En suite bathrooms are equipped with shower facilities. Amazing place to stay and would definitely return! Diana and crew were great!
