We walked to all tourist areas which included the Capitol Building and the Lincoln Memorial. The room was large and comfortable and kept very clean. The restaurant was excellent offering a wonderful buffet breakfast and good choices in the evening if required. The staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Location is the selling point with a mile stroll downhill to the sights. Good very safe neighbourhood with busy restaurants, and shopping, at Dupont Circle and on 15th behind the hotel. Breakfast at Johhny Rockets was okay although with little variation day to day but cheaper than local cafes and who wants to trek around first thing just to get a fresher bagel?Guest review byIainFamily with young children

I don't know about you but I love to do laundry while on vacation...keeps me from packing too much. This hotel offered free washers and dryers...just bring your own HE detergent. The included breakfast was at Johnny Rockets. The selection of food was good except for their pastries. But the eggs and pancakes here are better than at most other Holiday Inn breakfasts.
