A unique and beautiful boutique hotel in an area of Rio that felt cozy, alternative and safe(r). The room gave the impression of a noble, well-aged saloon that was taken care of with love. The other half of the building is a modernist art gallery (hence the name) with lots of interesting pieces; gallery and hotel share a colourful patio which saw people having a relaxed coffee. The team was super friendly, helpful, had a great personal vibe and made me feel at home. The rest of my group stayed at the Copacabana, but I enjoyed very much this little refuge on the hill, with some very good bars/coffees/restaurants just a few minutes away and the historic tramway passing in front of the window. Would definitely come back.

The authentic warmth of a community without dangers, the Barra attractions without pretentiousness and high prices. Oasis do Barral fits perfectly in the island. Simply amazing! I had a very great time there. Friendly and lovely staff, very nice breakfast and suite. The patio and pool outside were really relaxing, also because the house is in a secluded safe area. Would recommend 100% when you stay in Rio (even if only for 1 night like me) - very relaxing experience. They were even so kind and let me stay a couple of hours longer because I can to get a new sim card.
