I had a lovely stay here (stayed about 2 weeks) and will keep good memories from it :) If you want a getaway from the party hostel and a chill vibe this is the place to be. Gonzalo and his mom made everything perfect and always had a friendly smile. You can have an amazing breakfast, movie nights, and good talks. You can spot some animals around, kitchen is well set up, everything is always clean, beds confortable with curtains in the dorms for privacy. Definitely recommend. Gonzalo will make everything to make you happy and give you good recommendations (he also does good pesto pizza and jamaica flower drink ✨️🙏). Thanks a lot ☀️☺️

We had an amazing stay at the Jungle Beach Bungalow with my brother. As said in many comments, the pictures do not do the place justice. The host, Andrew, is a chef so the house has a lot of kitchen ustensiles to cook elaborate meals, the two rooms are spacious and very confortable, the bathroom has hot water, and is super modern. It's really a stupendous little house where you will have a wonderful time if you go there. Also, Andrew is very helpful and caring and super reactive. He makes his possible to make your stay the best possible !

Nice and clean stay in the middle of the jungle. You’ll be sharing the house with host Alexandra – incredibly welcoming – cuddle-cat Michael, and possibly another guest. The kitchen is fully equipped with a wide range of utensils, and the bedrooms have fans. One of the highlights is the bathroom, which is surrounded by glass, offering views of the lush greenery (with complete privacy, of course). The house is about a 15–20 minute bike ride from Puerto Viejo – walking isn’t really an option, but a tuk-tuk (around 4000 CRC) is! Drinking water is available. Board games (including Rummikub) are available too.

We really enjoyed our stay a lot. We had a beautiful little house near the river, with a hot shower and a comfortable bed, also an extra living room and a little kitchen. Could see monkeys and sloths, agutis and a lot of other different wildlife from our terrace. Free water, laundry and kayaks. Everything was really clean and only 5 min walk to the beach. Helped us with everything we needed. A tuktuk to puerto viejo takes about 10 mins. Everyone was really friendly we would def come again.

Puerto Viejo, what a special place on earth! Myself and my friend loved staying at Hotel Exotic Lodge. Great location and access to the beach trails which is literally accross the road. There’s a special hairy resident in the garden tree’s, if you are lucky, you can spot him hanging around. It was the closest we got to a sloth. We also woke up one morning to howler monkeys, we couldn’t of asked for a more immersive jungle experience, wow :) We ended up extending our stay, thats how much we loved it. Its simple and charming, hosted by a lovely family who recommended us some great places to visit that will forever hold a place in our hearts! Thanks Sebastian and Pamela for being super accommodating to our last minute plans! Pura Vida ^_^ Kam and Kelley xx

The accommodation is in a very quiet and pleasant area, but still close to everything. It’s easy to reach, and the ocean is just a short walk away.
