The host-Geoff was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. Breakfast was lovely and relaxed. Also Kirkgate was a very short walk to the centre of Thirsk and almost next door to the World of James Herriot.

The room was very stylish and the beds were so comfortable, next to a road but we couldn’t hear a thing at night so we got a peaceful nights sleep with a 3 year old! There was a nice little fish pond fountain outside which my little boy loved! The owner John I think his name was sorry terrible with names was very friendly he couldn’t do enough for us was always around to ask questions. The full English breakfast he put out for us was absolutely lovely and our 3 year old had a selection of different cereals. Will definitely be going back
