Good location in the uppermost part of town with clear view of the castle hill. Modern furnishing, good parking with easy access. Helpful host, speaking English.

Great property for very reasonable price. Also nice breakfast in very pleasant atmosphere. I must especially emphasize that the room is cleaned every day, very well and thoroughly

We were very happy with our apartment which is situated a few meters and a few stairs away from the Monemvasia main gate (please note that you have to carry your suitcases or backpacks because of the cobble stones). The apartment is nicely furnished, offers a great view on the ocean from the windows (+ from the bed :)) and also has amenities like a coffee machine & coffee tabs. The owners have a store downstairs where you can get the keys and buy their local products like olive oil, wine or skin care. We had some problems with noise from the opposite bar one night because they tend to play loud music on Saturdays and the hosts did all they can to make up for it, even though it was not their fault and we really appreciated it. In terms of hospitality, these were one of the nicest hosts we have met so far.

A fabulous place! Beaufitful, charismatic, unique and stylish. We were greeted with a smile and cold water to quench our thirst in the heat. The only regret is we only booked it for one night. Well worth a longer stay to enjoy the area, listen to the sea and take your time.

Very friendly staff, they recomended us travel planning. The room was new and completely equipated, very clean. Quiet sourrandings and good views. Nice walk to reach the castle. Good breakfast.

It was great, solar energy all around. The photos are accurate, the apartment is located on the top floor and it might seem tiny or hot (photos) but it isn't! Comfortable bed, two balconies, one facing the mountain and the other Monenvasia :), basic kitchen appliances, all was well organized and clean, they will clean the apartment everyday if needed. A very convenient location to visit Monemvasia walking or by car, many restaurants and markets. We recommend to visit the Ambelakia beach, 15 min or so driving and it was beautiful! Very nice and my dog was more than welcomed :)

Charming welcome, great location !!

The place is great if you want to relax. Peaceful hills around, black skies at night…. A car is a must. Is it far from the beach or Monemvasia? No, but it all depends on your demands – check on Google Maps – it gives you a realistic idea. Privacy is complete (there are some houses not too far behind, and people live there, but I only met somebody once). For us, it was ideal. But this depends on your needs. For instance, we never met the host in 8 days there. I liked this fact, but this also meant that we had to buy food for breakfast, because the promised breakfast was not included. There was food when we came, which lasted about 3 days, but after that, that was it; I wrote to the owner and the owner responded that he couldn’t bring more food, because he lived far. So when you compare prices, do not take ‘Breakfast Included’ into account, if you stay longer than 3 days or so. So what you get is an ideal place, a cosy suite, and a complete privacy for a reasonable price, but without any service, if that’s important for you. We spent some time in Monemvasia almost every day, and it became more interesting each time we got there, but I would not choose it for vacation rental. In Guesthouse Kamara, we were surrounded by greenery, olive groves, while in Monemvasia, there’s mostly stones, ruins, and tourists. It’s very interesting and beautiful in Monamvasia, but not really relaxing, I’d say. Also, I wanted to mention, we made many furry friends there. Nice little cats and kittens in need of food. They ate ANYTHING we gave them, including BREAD. I mean each and every one of them. They were nice and gentle, but appeared pretty hungry, and we couldn’t stop ourselves from buying sausages and cheap fish for them. And we had to give out sausages piece by piece to make sure everyone gets some. So yes, I do recommend this place for a complete relaxation… And don’t forget to treat the cats!

The Island is fantastic and the hotel is located by the beach with a wonderful sunset view. Very good location.
