So many things to love about this place! Our family of four (2 kids; 5yo and 3yo) stayed for 10 days in the family room (with 2 big beds) and we had the most amazing time. The location is second to none - just a few minutes walk to the beach and a few minutes further to all the best cafes and restaurants. Nadeeka and her husband are incredibly kind and were wonderful hosts, always ready to help with anything we needed. They helped us with surfboard rental, tuk tuk rental, airport transfers...even little things like letting us dry our towels on the main washing lines and showing us local shortcuts. The room was much bigger than we expected, and super comfortable. We barely used the AC and although the beds are fitted with mosquito nets, we barely needed to use them which was a pleasant surprise. There are mosquitos and other creepy crawlies outside though. We also loved the semi-outdoor bathroom and having a small kitchen attached to the room just made life easier (the cafe was not opened yet while we were there). Overall we loved our stay at Jungle Escape and will definitely be back!

The property is located on the hill, in a quiet area of Hiriketiya which means you can actually sleep at night because the noise from the parties doesn’t reach the place. While you are still really close to the beach and town. Just 5 minutes walk 🤩. The owner is very nice and they have a sweet dogs and a cat 🐈🐾

I’ve fallen completely in love with this place!! the female dormitory it’s super cozy, I’ve loved the yoga+brunch formula: waking up and having a yoga session in the jungle is amazing the staff is very nice and available and can arrange several activities the place is minutes walking from everywhere in hiriketiya - in one word: relax

The accommodation is brand new and located close to great restaurants, cafés, and the beach. There is a beautiful, well-maintained garden where you can sit and relax in the middle of it. The host family is incredibly welcoming and just genuinely kind. We felt truly taken care of, and the breakfast was simply wonderful. Every morning, we were surprised with different delicious treats. You can really feel the care and love that has gone into every little detail. The Wi-Fi works very well, and there is also an outdoor shower. Overall, we had a truly wonderful time.

Karin and Madu are so nice! I had the most lovely stay because of them. They gave me a lot of amazing tips for Hiriketiya. Madu is also a surf teacher, so he learned me some surfing while I was staying there. The location of the hostel is very central, with a lot of good food spots nearby. I originally booked for one night and ended up staying for seven! That’s how lovely my time at Mango Hiriketiya was. The room is spacious, the bed is comfy, and the ceiling fan is just right (I even felt cold some nights, which was perfect if you like sleeping with a sheet). The best part of the house is the family, super warm, welcoming, and incredibly kind. They greet you with a juice on arrival, serve a simple and delicious breakfast every morning, and sometimes offer a snack or tea in the afternoon. I was lucky to be there during Poya Day and they even invited me to join them for the local parade. The communication with them is also top! The room is upstairs with a private entrance, and there’s a kitchen available for basic cooking and a dining table. They helped me with my laundry as well. It’s located close to the main road and a short walk to the beach. I enjoy walking, so for me, the location was perfect.
