I loved this place! it is my dream home, surrounded by greenery and hills. Our room was simple but spaciuos, clean and tidy with a big bathroom and a very comfortable bed. There is a small kitchen equipped all what is needed, the breakfast was very nice! even if we stayed for one night only, we felt like home! a plus is the hot pool iacuzzi in the garden, fantastic! the surrounding garden is so lovely and the cat is adorable! The BnB is 10 minutes by car from Matamata town and around 15 minutes from Hobbitton movie set.

Dee really is the hostess with the mostest. She’s honestly thought of everything – even little touches like takeaway cups for coffee which I thought was such a nice idea. The unit itself is really quaint, and when I first walked in the smell of freshly baked bread hit me. Straight away it just felt warm and homely. The wifi was excellent which made it easy for me to catch up on some work. Even though the main highway into Matamata is right outside, I still slept really well with no traffic noise keeping me awake. Location-wise it’s spot on – close to shops, restaurants, and you’re literally just down the road from Hobbiton and plenty of other fun activities. Honestly it’s the best of both worlds… a peaceful, quiet place to rest, but right on the doorstep of so many things to do. Dee and Rick are such lovely hosts. They’re available if you need anything, but to be honest they’ve thought of so much already that you probably won’t. I’d definitely recommend this little unit, and if you’re after something bigger for family or friends, they’ve also got a three-bedroom house you can rent. Such a great find!

Honestly cannot fault this place. Maria is a lovely host and is very helpful and very accommodating. The Red Shed is a great location if you are looking to do the Hobbinton tour. The Red Shed has some lovely features and is very spacious. Also has a pool table which is a big hit. Would definitely stay again

The most comfortable bed we ever had. We love the house it makes us feel nearly like at home. And The locations just walking distance to the town. Definitely recommend this place.

It was a great choice as it was a few kilometers along a beautiful farm road, which made for a quiet area with beautiful scenery and a stunning garden. Easy access to food, great wifi and a help yourself breakfast. The apartment is in stunning condition and well fitted, including a washing machine with the soaps etc

The shower was AMAZING and the property dogs came to say hi which was so sweet. Felt very cozy and safe.

We loved everything about our stay. Beautifully presented and clean. Plenty of space for us to be together but to also have our own separate spaces when needing time to ourselves and to recharge. The home was well equipped with everything we needed and even with what we didn’t know we needed. The pool was fantastic and one of the main reasons we chose this accommodation but when we arrived, the whole property was exactly what we wanted and the pool was the cherry on top! Our family occupied both the 3 bedroom dwelling and the cottage which was perfect! Julian and Frances were amazing hosts!

Very accommodating responded quickly room was small but perfectly formed. Although a small room they packed in the facilities we couldn’t have asked for more. Not far to Hobbitton movie set. Excellent hosts would highly recommend. Great hosts thanks so much for your excellent hospitality
