one of the best experiences I have had. this is not just a nice guesthouse with a great view, new and very clean rooms in one of the most atmospheric areas of Aswan. this is a real immersion into the life of a beautiful Nubian family who take care of you. this is definitely more than just a business. this is the heart that is shared with you through every detail. JJ also has a boat that you can travel to the main tourist locations with a very friendly price that you won't find on the street. his wife is an amazing Nubian woman who cooked wonderful breakfasts and even painted my hands with henna as a souvenir. thank you, see you again!

Once we arrived we decided to extend our stay & we wish we could have stayed even longer! The best place we have stayed at whilst being in Egypt. Everything was perfect from beginning till end, Bibo went above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable & unforgettable.
My partner was very unwell when we arrived in Aswan - from the airport pickup, to getting our luggage onto the island & settling in, we were looked after & provided with the most incredible hospitality from Sido & Bibo.
The breakfast & dinner which is cooked by Bibo’s mother is to die for & the convenience of eating on the rooftop after a big day of exploring is something else. The Nubian people are warm & welcoming & if you need directions just ask the local kids, they will sort you out!
The island is a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of Egypt life and is easily reached by the public ferry. There is also a beautiful swimming & sunset spot on the Nile just a short walk from the guesthouse.
10/10 - do yourself a favour & stay at Nubian Soul Guesthouse, cannot recommend enough!

The staff were very kind and nice, and the view from the balcony was amazing. The accomodation started with boat and endded with boat, from and to the west bank of Aswan. Just wanted to thank them for the unforgettable memories in elephantine island.

: Very close to public ferries to Aswan. Rooms were functional, on the livelier side of Elephantine islands. Great views on the balcony for breakfast. Most importantly, staff were amazing, helpful and welcoming. They provided advice on how to get to main sites in Aswan, helped us secure good prices and booked day trip to Abu Simbel. Highly recommend this place and will definitely return! Thank you again for making our stay on Elephantine very nice and memorable , I was truly overwhelmed by the warmth and hospitality at this place. Ahmed the owner, along with his staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They arranged a car from the airport, and the driver was in touch with me well in advance of my arrival. Despite my late arrival, Ahmed prepared a delicious homemade dinner at a very reasonable price. She also organized a felucca ride on short notice, again at a fair rate.
During our conversations, I shared some stories about my family who couldn’t join me on the trip. In a beautiful and thoughtful gesture, Ahmed gave a small gift for my wife and kids — a touching example of Nubian hospitality and culture that really stayed with me.
On my first day, her son kindly accompanied me on the ferry to help me get familiar with the area — another thoughtful gesture I really appreciated. Every request I had was taken care of promptly and with genuine care.
Do note that the place is located on an island, so you'll need to take a ferry to get in and out. The service is frequent, but it’s something to be aware of when planning. Overall, an exceptional stay with an incredibly kind and generous host family.
: They arrange for me all tours around Aswan and Luxor with very reasonable prices
I will come back sure

A great laid back place to stay on the West Bank, close to the public ferry and the tombs of the nobles. The facilities are new and clean. The owners and his family are super hospitable. We also ordered lunch which was delicious. No regretting we have chosen the place and we will definitely come back.

I’m from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and this is one of the best guesthouses in the world! We booked initially 2 nights and extended one more. Abu and his family are amazing hosts, the place is lovely, breakfast yummy and the location, Elephantine Island is an oasis of peace in the Nile. They have their own boat to pick us up and we also did visit the Nubian village with this boat, unforgettable experience! We even booked our 2 nights Nile cruise to Louxor with Abu for such a good price! We will come back here and stay one week next time.

The place itself is far from the crowds but an easy ferry away from everything, and there are interesting things to see on elephantine island itself. La Terrace is very clean, and the rooms and the beds are generously sized. As for Mohammed, he will make you feel at home right from the start, will organise everything you need, and at very fair prices. Absolute value for money.

Arranged pickup for us from the airport at a late hour and helped us get on a boat to the island without any problems
Easy access to major sites, had great contacts for drivers and boat tours at reasonable prices.
Next to a family owned restaurant called King Jamaica, which offered great Nile sunset views and had a very interesting mixed clientele both locals and tourists
Great hostel! The room is clean, the kitchen and bathroom are also clean. It was quiet. The yard is cozy and there are cute cats. The transfer was comfortable. Excellent hosts who will prompt and help with any questions. Thanks!

I’m convinced this is the best place to stay in Aswan. It might be a little bit hard to find in the island, but there were locals who kindly showed me the way upon my arrival. There’s a beautiful garden, the staff is friendly and the room is very nice. The breakfast they serve is superb and you can also buy water and soda’s for a good price instead of having to go to a shop.
Extra points for having the goodest dog in Aswan.

Haares was a brilliant host, he was there to help with planning of sites to see and also gave us handy tips and tricks when dealing with locals. He was available at all times as well. In addition, the helper at the property was an amazing person, always on hand to help with the on site facilities
My stay couldn't have been better. The host family are all super sweet and will make you feel instantly at home. Location is perfect, right next to the ferry. They also offer meals, I highly recommend eating their Tahini one of the best I ever tried. It's quiet in the early morning too, some of the best sleeps I've had in Egypt. Highly recommend staying here on Elephantine Island
