We loved our time at the mountain home! Lukas the host was so kind and the property was gorgeous. We loved the fully stocked kitchen(with an espresso machine for the morning!) the sauna(included in the price 😎) and the friendly cats. The beds were super comfortable. Our only regret is that we only stayed for one night. 100% recommended. Thanks Lukas!

We had a very warm welcome when we arrived and had a very lovely apartment with everything we could need. The breakfast was good and plentiful and would have had something for every taste. Staff were friendly and the rooms were cleaned spotlessly by the time we returned from Breakfast each day. Location wise the hotel is right next to the main walking areas in Obergurgl so access was very easy.

Coffee machine in room. Everything was clean. Modern bathroom with good shower. The bathroom is not en-suite, just next door, but it was not a problem as the guests are the only people on that level of the house. Very quiet neighbourhood. Parking space on the property. There is a bakery nearby, and also a very big Interspar just down the road, a couple of minutes' drive, can also walk to it, about 15 minutes. We ate at the Interspar cafeteria and the food was good - low prices after 4pm. Beautiful area next to the mountain.

We used the Gasthof Schontal as a base for travelling to and from Kitzbuhel for a days skiing and the Hahnenkahm races. A half hour drive takes you to Kirchberg in Tyrol where there is free parking and a free shuttle train which takes you into Kitzbuhel itself. Perfect
