The rooms are in an old seminary with very tall ceilings and windows. Very bright and sunny. The room was beautiful and well appointed. The breakfast was superior, and our host Robert makes a wicked espresso or cappuccino. Don't be deceived by the maps, the Pension is a short 10 minute walk from Stift Melk and the town centre.

The workers are very nice. Great breakfast included. In the evening, we eat at the compund's restaurant.. the food was great.

Landlady was super helpful: we decided to stay one more night at the location, asked her during our breakfast but unfortunately her rooms were already booked, as it was Friday. Quick search in the booking.com app revealed most of the local properties were unavailable too, so she asked around and found an available room for us.

It is in the heart of Dürnstein and therefore close to everywhere. Walking across the railway and a small tunnel was another nice thing about the location. It was our first time in a guest house and we are so glad we did stay there. The house and the rooms were so perfectly clean and neat, we also loved the view from our balcony. The landlord was so gentle and welcoming, he gave us so many suggestions with a lot of effort. The landlady was great as well, so friendly and kind; we adored her home-made cakes and Marillenmarmelade (apricot marmalade) at breakfast in which everything was super delicious. They do their best to make sure you really have a pleasant stay. I strongly suggest you to buy a jar or two apricot marmalade, I regret that I only bought one big jar. To sum up, we stayed for 2 nights and it was totally worth it; the price was really reasonable and we enjoyed a lot! We definitely recommend this place to whoever intends to visit the Wachau area.

Excellent location, a few steps to the banks of Danube. Last but not least, very good breakfast.
