It was fully furnished in home like style. Very tastefully and interestingly decorated. The owner thought of every detail to make the guest feel at home during vacation from both the style and practicality. We loved that it had a coffee maker and milk in the fridge for our morning coffee. The 3-d map on the wall was a big hit for us! The chairs to watch TV were super comfortable as was the bed. There were blankets and pillows in the living room. Kitchen had everything needed and more like pot with boiled water. Great idea! They have very tasty tap water there. I would highly recommend The Sounds and hope to return myself. The view is spectacular!

The room was delightful. The view superb. The owners were truly lovely. Cannot recommend Oakleigh House highly enough. Would not hesitate to go back.

An amazing location a few steps from the beach. Apartment was brand new, very large kitchen/dining/lounge with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the beach and the Derwent River. About 30 mins drive from the airport. The owner helped so much with Aurora and Bioluminescence sightings. I highly recommend it.

I slept here for ten hours straight! It was incredibly quiet and comfortable. The location is excellent, very close to the penguin viewing spot. The internet connection is great, and I could log into Netflix on the TV to watch shows.

The place itself is beautiful, thoughtfully arranged, and far beyond what I imagined—from the delicious breakfast to the small, delicate touches in the bathroom. It’s more than just a place to stay; it truly feels like a luxurious and carefully maintained home. It’s probably the best homestay I’ve stayed in Australia, and without hesitation one of my top five anywhere in the world. I requested a late check-out for personal reasons and Eliza immediately said yes with no hesitation. I will definitely return, and I will recommend everyone to stay with Eliza.

I really enjoyed staying at the Sleepy Hollow Hideout near Stanley. Sleepy Hollow Hideout 2 (SHH2) was clean and was furnished with new and comfortable furniture and new-condition facilities. SHH2 had the best couch of all the places I stayed at in my 3 weeks in Tasmania - and it reclined too! I also really appreciated the stretchy cotton bedding which felt a bit warmer than plain sheets in cool May nights. The in room heater worked well and kept the indoor temperature just right. The kitchenette was great to have so that I could prepare simple meals and having things like milk, coffee, sugar etc in jars instead of little packets was extra convenient - I could use as much as needed. SHH2 was close to the main highway and close to Stanley as long as you have a vehicle. I was met by the proprietor even though I arrived later than expected and felt welcome! I really enjoyed my stay at SHH2 and would book there agin!

Homey little place to stay with wonderful hosts and great views! The added puppy love was a delightful bonus! Wayne and Sue are great and welcoming host and serve a delicious breakfast! Slept like a baby and felt very welcomed in their home! Thanks again Wayne and Sue! It was a pleasure to 😊 Fantastic view from the room. Watched sunrise from my bed!

The Cosy Cottage ligger i Port Sorell, 23 km fra Devonport Oval, og har en have, grillfaciliteter og gratis privat parkering. Gratis wi-fi er til rådighedoveralt. A good range of breakfast options :-) though I do enjoy jam or honey on my morning toast :-) just a suggestion for next time :-)
