Hosts were very sociable, professional and quite knowledgeable about plants, trees and birds. The Casita del Tigre casita was fully equipped, cozy and private. All newly constructed. Very pleasant grounds, fully fenced, and next to Rio Tigre. Hiking Tropical rainforest in nearby Bolita trails was excellent! Be sure to visit the ‘swimming hole’ on Rio Tigre and advise walking upstream to a lovely waterfall. Wear sandals. I found the little village enjoyable and the people friendly and helpful. Tour to Sirena (Corcovado) via boat out of Puerto Jimenez is a great day, for sure! I stayed for 5 days. Highly recommend staying here with lovely hosts Gwendal and Negar!

A lovely little resort with a large covered area with kitchen, tables, overhead fans, hammocks and BBQ. Plunge pool was great for cooling off after a hot hike. Room was simply furnished, with a wall of open shelves that were perfect for clothes, food or other items. Bathroom is nicely finished. I was especially happy with the large sink with plug where I could easily handwash a few items. This is the kind of place where you can stay for a few days just to unwind and enjoy nature and birds all around you. We had our own car which made it easy to access. Bring all your groceries with you as there is nothing nearby! Kitchen is well stocked with cookware. A little inconvenient to carry non refrigerated food prep items back and forth from our room (about 20 m walk on a gravel path).

Excellent, attentive host; the place is a heaven for nature lovers - located near the Corcovado NP with park trails nearby. The property is well-maintained, clean, the gardens are amazing and full of birds. We stayed in a two-bedroom cabin: the bedroom with queen bed is air-conditioned, the second bedroom is not, but it was not too hot (end of December). Wifi works everywhere. Fully-equipped kitchen. Amazing value for money!

The host family are lovely people that go out of their way to make sure your stay is great. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking your own meals. The host is a guide, and we saw everything thanks to his eagle eyes!

The location was great, right in town and walkable to the beach, grocery stores, and restaurants. There was air conditioning, potable water, hot water in the shower, safety features, and a beautifully stocked and clean kitchen and bathroom. The host was very welcoming and communicative!

The history of the place is amazing: a gold rush time village bar, that used to have also a brothel and jail (now restroom and shower). Suzanne has created a very cozy place with a wide common area and different sorts of accommodations. It was fun talking and sharing experiences with her aswell as other visitors. The place has a nice wibe and Blue Morpho butterflies flying in the yard. We went on Matapalo and night tours with Shanny - they were both a great experience.
