Appreciated the staff arranging a taxi to the airport, and another carrying our bags downstairs when the taxi arrived Beautiful spacious room in a grand old building, comfortable bed, air conditioning, luxurious shower room, lots of closet and storage space, view from the port-fenetres, quiet at night. We will return!!

Hostal Spa Olga is located on the Costa Brava seafront in Sant Antoni de Calonge. Rooms with a private balcony and sea views. The rooms at the Olga feature simple décor. Very clean and chic. Staff were extremely warm and welcoming. Great restaurant. On the beach!

Pension Ciudadela guest house is opposite Barcelona’s França Train Station and 100 metres from Ciudadela Park. It offers basic air-conditioned rooms with free Wi-Fi, and private bathroom facilities. The location is perfect. Short walks to all the main sights. Friendly staff and a very comfortable, clean room. An added bonus was the rooftop terrace! Just step out the door and a ride to the top in the elevator gives you an oasis amid plants and views of the city. Lots of chairs and lounges. We would rest up there for a couple hours at the end of the day before heading out for dinner.

Just by Placa Catalunya but still a street behind it so one does not hear the trafic as much. The building and the staircase seemed old at first site but once getting inside the hostel it is renovated and the actual rooms and inside it was very fresh, clean and really nice. You get a muffin and a coffee,/tea which is nice. It had a nice seating area where one can have breakfast. Not an actual kitchen but still enough for a few days. It was clean and even had a small balcony if you are a smoker. The staff is so kind and friendly and we only stayed one night but we could have stayed longer. Nice place for couples or friends who are there a few days.

Pensió Bellmirall is located in the centre of Girona’s Old Town, just 100 metres from the cathedral. The simple rooms have private bathrooms, and there is a free Wi-Fi hotspot. Everything was excellent, the hostess welcomed us and showed us around the premises. The breakfast was delicious, and the courtyards were beautiful, green and with the sound of water. We're coming back!
