Located 2 km from Chateauroux Train Station, La Soierie offers an indoor swimming pool, a garden and a terrace. Free Wi-Fi is free of charge in the entire property. Very welcoming owners, the property provided a friendly atmosphere. The food and wine was tasty and good value, we ate with other guests which was enjoyable and entertaining.

This property is a historic canal lock keepers house on the edge of the Loire river and a big park, so you can't have a more authentic room. Host and chef Fillipe takes it to another level with his hospitality and cooking (verify days of week for meals other than breakfast). Our room was large and comfortable with exceptional views. We especially liked the original plank floors. Lunch on the edge of the river was one of our best meals ever. We could have spent several days enjoying the park. If you're biking the Loire River trail (like us) this is a must stay. You haven't fully experienced France if you haven't stayed at Le Relais de Mantelot.

It is out in the country a bit, with nice grounds and easy parking. The owner and her daughter always went out of their way to exceed our expectations. For example when we ordered some wine, they made us a picnic outside to enjoy it. The daughter speaks English.

The home is very beautiful and the hosts were the best! They were very friendly, helpful and accommodating, while also giving us our privacy. We had a lovely room on the third floor with a gorgeous view of the river and a very comfortable bed. We awoke to a delicious breakfast of fresh chocolate croissants, bread and apple juice all purchased by the host before we woke up. We also had delicious honey harvested by their neighbor as well as several homemade jams.They live in a darling small town with several restaurants and a gorgeous church. It was all PERFECT!!! I forgot to add that there is a beautiful rooftop jacuzzi!!!

Unique and central, we really liked staying here. The host is very responsive and helpful, he sent us very useful info even before arrival and greeted us on arrival with even more tips. The story of the house is really amazing and you can see the love they have for it. The hosts live at the same property, but other than on arrival, we didn't even see them and they gave us privacy. The location is great, very central, in a quiet neighborhood, with great views and parking just next to it. The room is very spacious, the main bed comfortable though the little extra one could be better. The breakfast plentiful and catered to our needs.
