This is a family-run guesthouse which has been very nicely renovated. We booked 2 rooms which are on the 1st floor (not ground floor) so there's a short flight of stairs to contend with. The host was very welcoming and helped us with our luggages up the flight of stairs. They provided extras (eg. the bath had a brandnew bath sponge for our use) which we were not expecting and really made the place memorable. The rooms were comfortable, clean and spacious. Just for information, the double room has a bathtub and small fridge (the twin room only has a shower and no fridge). I would book again if I was in Abergavenny.

An excellent pub directly across the road, for good food & drink, and a short walk on to the very striking castle. I plan to return when next in the locality. Unhesitatingly recommended!

Although the room was small, it was cosy, an amazing comfy bed and the facilities contained were great. A small fridge, enough to put snacks etc in, all towels, a comfy bathrobe and even cereals/milk and a lovely croissant! Very friendly host, took care of me above and beyond and was lovely to chat to as well about the area. Thank you very much! The small things like finding the butterflies in the room (like the curtains) and the wooden welcome carving were really sweet.

We got to the room after 10 and found it accessible and very comfortable and clean. it was well worth the last minute booking.
