Annas took care of me throughout my stay and he was really helpful and friendly. He speaks excellent English, so I was able to ask him about interesting things to see in Malang and Indonesia in general. I definitely recommend this accommodation😊

Warm welcome from Johan and his nephew, the room was clean and already fresh with the AC. The place felt like home and we could also use the kitchen. The breakfast was very good with plenty of food and fruits. The location is perfect, in a calm neighborhood, close to the city center. We also plan the visit to Ijen with Johan and everything went smoothly ! Thanks for everything, it was a pleasure to meet you :)

Maison Manendra is not only a hotel/guesthouse but a whole concept. The rooms are big and comfortable with an ensuite bathroom with a warm water shower. The food is good and portions are generous. You mostly eat at a big table with other guests but if you don't like it you are not forced to socialize. After dinner, Rani and Oussama ask what you are planning to do the next day. If you are planning to do the Bromo walking tour and other guests like to join, you share a car (and the cost of it)... or not if you prefer to go alone. We had the chance to share cars for the Bromo walking tour and for the Tumpak Sewu waterfall and could cut the cost and have a good time with fellow travellers. Rani and Oussama offer solutions for most of your travelling problems: transportation to Maison Manendra from Malang, Bromo Tour without other people around you, tour to Tumpak Sewu with a fantastic guide, taxi to Surabaya... and many more. Rani and Oussama travel a lot in and out of Indonesia and are well aware of what you need during your Java trip. If you are looking for luxury, it is not the place for you. As for myself, I got far more than I expected. Merci Rani et Oussama, c'était absolument super!

Such a beautiful setting, Mountain Ecolodge was a perfect place to base myself for visiting Bromo. Mary the host is so kind and I really enjoyed my time here. Super peaceful and an amazing view of the landscape ❤️

Harry’s Ocean House was a great place to chill out for a few days, with a real family feel. Our bungalow was beautifully decorated, clean and with a very comfortable bed, we slept soooo well. The communal kitchen was welcoming and had all the equipment we needed. The beach was great for strolling along with virtually no one else there. Thanks in particular to Tina for making us welcome, for lending us bicycles and for sorting out our onward transport. We are happy to give Harry’s Ocean House 5* and recommend it to others.

I arrived in the middle of the night because my bus was late but the host waited for me and even prepared breakfast for me. Great place also to do Ijen, they organize it for you !

This place is absolutely gorgeous, a little oasis in the city of Banyuwangi. The room is clean and big. Juda, the owner, helps you with everything, he prepares a little snack at midnight before the Ijen Tour and breakfast in the morning when you come back. You can also book the tour through him, I highly recommend! Thank you so much Juda, I felt like at home.

The hostess kindness was extraordinary and also her cooking skills were fantastic. We enjoyed every minute and when we had a problem she stood by our side and helped us through it. The breakfast (sandwich and fresh fruits) was delicious. The room was really clean and the design was welcoming and cozy. Thanks a lot.
