The constant hum of crickets and the flittering of hundreds of dragonflies along with the scenery makes for a gorgeous nature retreat away from it all. Nip and Awan, along with their lovely family, were lovely hosts and the homemade food was delicious. Nip and Molls took us in the most amazing trek across paddy fields, down through jungle, across rivers and up to Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep waterfalls, as well as showing us and explaining about traditional villages and taking us to an ancient mosque. Nip was really knowledgeable about everything from agriculture, plants, traditions and history and we would highly recommend taking her up on her offering of this opportunity. We will definitely be back if we’re ever in Lombok again. We didn’t do the Mont Rinjani trek this time but you always have to leave something to come back to do, right?!
