You know how people only ever write a review when an experience was either truly bad or exceptionally good. Well, this review will be an exceptionally good one. It was our first time in Raja Ampat, let alone Indonesia. Eddo Homestay was our first accommodation and we had low expectations from what we generally read about accommodations in Raja Ampat and because it was a newly built place with few reviews. However, our expectations were exceeded. The first thing I wanna highlight is the hospitality, kindness and service of all the staff there. I especially want to mention Acho, the guy who manages the Homestay and took care of anything we needed. The first two days we were the only two guests at the Homestay and had the best experiences. Acho personally went snorkeling with us at Yenbuba Jetty, took us to a Sandbank, to Sauwandarek Village and Arborek. He was pretty much our personal guide and we enjoyed every single minute of it. He went above and beyond to fulfill all our "wishes" / requests, no matter what it was about (excursions, food, more data for our sim card, etc.). He would also always sit with us for every meal, talk to us, share about life in Indonesia. It was like hanging out with your older brother. They also tried their best to offer a variety of different foods each day. For breakfast we had toast, fried eggs, pancakes, Nutella, jam, cheese and one day (upon our request) even Avocado. For lunch and dinner it's mostly rice but always with either fish, meat, vegetables, salad, etc. And always delicious. Our highlight were the chocolate chip cornflakes with cold fresh milk though. The cabins were very spacious with a double bed and mosquito net, a couch, a little closet area with hangers and a fan. The bathroom was huuuge and beautifully designed. Each cabin has a terrace with two lounge chairs where we mostly hung out. We had everything we needed. The entire place was very clean, the cabins, the restaurant, everything.

Seahorse Homestay está ubicado en Pulau Mansuar, en la región de Papua Barat, y tiene terraza y vista al mar. La habitación en casa particular cuenta con toallas y ropa de cama. Los bungalows son muy cómodos, con la mejor cama que hemos tenido en Raja Ampat. Todo el recinto está muy cuidado y bonito, los baños marcan la diferencia con el resto de homestay, 3 duchas y 2 baños, que tienen incluso cisterna! Hay electricidad de 6 PM a 6 am, que es mucho para Raja. La habitación también tiene un ventilador, lo que está muy bien si eres caluroso, aunque normalmente por las noches con la brisa marina se duerme genial. La comida variada y deliciosa, a diferencia de otros homestay en los que es muy repetitiva. Y lo mejor de todo es Ading, cuida de todo con detalle, habla muy bien inglés, y lo hace todo muy fácil, puede organizar los traslados y todo lo que necesites. El mejor anfitrión! Totalmente recomendable, volveremos seguro!!!

Paparisa Homestay ofrece alojamiento solo para adultos en Kri con un jardín, zona de playa privada y una terraza. El alojamiento ofrece vista al mar. Ubicación impresionante. La cama era comodísima. Pero sobre todo lo que más nos gustó fue el trato de Debi y todo el personal de Paparisa. Pendientes en todo momento y SÚPER amables.

Korbekwan Homestay está ubicado en Besir y ofrece una terraza y un restaurante. El alojamiento cuenta con vista al mar. Habitación en casa particular también dispone de 1 baño. It was just absolutely amazing stating there, cause the reef just simply started over our water Bungalows! No need to book any excursions, beside Fam island, cause you had turtles, reef sharks, even mantas so very close! So loved to stay with that family! The son went out spearfishing for a nice meal ... would love to come back, no better place to snorkeling like 6 hours a day 🤩😊😘. Thanks a lot 😘😘😘

Nyanse Homestay - Raja Ampat está ubicado en Besir. La habitación en casa particular cuenta con toallas y ropa de cama. We really loved staying at Nyanse homestay! Food is plentiful (3 main meals + snack time at 4:30pm), you will definitely not starve here and everything is delicious. Their overwater bungalows, located inside Gam’s particular mangroves, are spacious, clean, comfortable and equipped with hammocks to enjoy the best sunset. Bathroom and shower are shared but still very good. We highly recommend doing the tours they offer. Ferdinand, the homestay’s owner, knows the best snorkeling places and will be your guide in the water. We really enjoyed snorkeling with him and all the underwater life he showed us. Even one night he took a torch to explore the nightlife around the mangroves, we found so many creatures! You can also do snorkel at night if you are adventurous enough. The homestay is placed between to villages that you can visit to see the local life, I even played football with the kids and had so much fun. It is also possible to go see the Red Birds of Paradise, it’s less than a 30min walk that you do with a guide in the morning before sunrise. Just know that these birds are more active during a certain time of the year. Alvaro, Ferdinand’s son, can help at times with communication as he is the one that speaks fairly good English. All in all, staying at Nyanse was a beautiful local experience that we highly recommend. Thanks so much for such a amazing time!
