The owner Jim went out of his was to make us welcome and comfortable. There was glitch in our plans and Jim went out of his way to get it fixed fot us. It was raining and we got wet and cold-he brought us a heater.that warmed us up. He could not have been more helpful. The room was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend this place. 😀

On the West bank of the River Shannon, Shannonside House is set within large, private gardens. Guests can enjoy home cooking and free parking, and Athlone's centre is a 5-minute walk away. Great family hotel! Perfect cleanliness, very tasty and plentiful breakfasts, friendly hosts. There is a park, the city center is only 10 minutes walk away, a great place to start exploring Ireland. I recommend it and dream of coming back again.

Boasting a restaurant, Jacksons Restaurant and Guesthouse is located in the town centre of Roscommon. There is free WiFi access available and free on-site parking. The food was delicious, dinner was amazing in the inhouse restaurant and local town was excellent to see.

The room is located over a busy and friendly pub. I was really surprised at how soundproof the room was given that there was a function on in the bar that night and I'm a light sleeper. The function ended at a reasonable hour but I heard very little noise while it was on. Tip: to avoid a cold shower check the hot water tap in the sink first. The room I was in may have been located furthest from water tanks so it took a little time for the heated water to reach the room. I would have gladly stayed another night but due to a mix up I couldn't, the owner very kindly arranged an alternative place for me to stay.
