Located in Chegāt, 12 km from Wayanad, Greenways Tree House and Mud House boasts a barbecue and views of the river. Free private parking is available on site. The owner of the accommodation was extremely helpful and assisted us in organizing various safaris. The place is excellent for nature-lovers and people who like to be "off the beaten trek" and prefer silences and a local experience over luxery. The food was excellent. The mother of the owner prepared delicious typical South-Indian food. We traveled with a large family, including children and some elderly members close to eighty years old. If you like to be into the nature, far away from heavy tourist industry this is a very good place to stay. The rooms were clean, the location was stunning with plenty of shaded areas, and the people exceptionally friendly. We stayed even more days than we were planning in the beginning. The owner has a jeep in which he orginased to get around to the several National Parks and places we wanted to visit. The owner organised a nice evening with barbeque and one day he caught fresch fisch close by to prepare for diner. We had an amazing time!
