On the cold night, he also offered to prepare us some warm bottle to warm up the futons. Next morning, Yoshi also volunteered to defrost the windscreen as it was frosted overnight. He then made us nice dripped coffee and recommended us to take certain routes to visit daikanbo, the Aso crater and scenic route to Beppu. He even helped us to check the crater situation and weather forecast! Staying at Yoshi’s place and meeting him is definitely one of the highlight of our two weeks honeymoon trip. We were slightly sceptical about this place as it only had two reviews, but we are so glad we booked. This was a great guesthouse with traditional Japanese rooms in a gorgeous village. The host was incredibly helpful (even walking us to a local restaurant to make sure we got a space as everywhere was fully booked). We felt incredibly welcome, had comfy beds, a lovely room, and everything we needed.
