Yujiro, the owner, contacted me even before my stay with amazing recommendations such as restaurants and attractions in Takeo Onsen area. He even assisted in booking a table for me at an marvelous restaurant. Thank you for making my Takeo Onsen experience truly amazing, Yurijo. In addition, the location of the guesthouse in ideal as you can walk to many places such as the famous tree, the library and the onsen itself. Also, the room is spacious and the bed is comfy. I slept like a rock. Before I left, I had an insightful and fun conversation with Yurijo. Thank you again. Hope to see you and stay at the guesthouse again.

We chose Kikuchi instead of Kumamoto, to get away from the city before our trip to Mt Aso. We got a lovely country house, but the main benefit was the lovely couple who hosted us. Super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed breakfast, my wife skipped hers, so the host packed it as a bento box for our lunch. Vegetables from the garden. A guided visit to the forest to see fireflies. Tastes of local food and drink. It was if we were lodging with my favourite aunt and uncle.

The house is very beautiful, well renovated with very good taste.Three toilets but only one bathroom.The owner and the staff are very kind and full of service mind. We have barbecue with karaoke , singing and dancing with the best audio equipment..The owner well prepared everything for our group including the heater on the floor. We all very appreciated for the hospitality, will come back again.

Very peaceful surroundings with a foot bath right out side our room. A very clean, spacious and traditional Japanese style room. The futons were nice and thick, making for a very comfortable sleep. Our host was very friendly and gave us a great recommendation for dinner.
