The hosts were amazing and very helpfull giving us many recommendations on public transport and places to visit in the town !! Overall my favorite stay of my trip I will definitely try to book again if I visit Matsumoto again

We had an amazing stay. The property is beautiful with a great common room and kitchen with stunning views. The rooms are comfortable and all facilities are absolutely immaculately clean. The staff were a true highlight of the stay. they were all so incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was just great and we plan to return next season.

The property has river and quiet street views, and is 1.4 km from Matsumoto Station. The guest house offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. The owner was so friendly, he also welcomed us with a Spanish translator since we reserved as Mexicans. Made us feel so welcoming. The place also has instructions for everything so if you don't know how to use a Japanese heating table, for example, you can try it without trouble. Had coffee, coffee beans, dishes and pans for cooking, coffee machine, etc. The place is of shared stay but since we rented all the space for our group of 8 they let us have everything like an Airbnb.

Located 22 km from Ryuoo Ski Park and 32 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, Togoro in Nozawa Onsen provides air-conditioned accommodation with views of the mountain and free WiFi. It is set 41 km from Suzaka City Zoo and offers luggage storage space. The guest house features family rooms. The staff were eager to help with any request of ours, a short notice late checkout during the high season only came at a slight fee and they let us store ice cream in the freezer. The daily breakfast was delicious, with homegrown rice and their own family pickled Nozawana recipe. The rooms were a warm respite from the Nozawaonsen cold. Togoro is next to an onsen which we'd recommend using as much as possible. Togoro is next to one of the bus stops on the line from Iiyama station. We couldn't recommend Togoro more and wish the family which runs it all the best in their business.

14 km from Ryuoo Ski Park, Guest House Hostel yukuru is a recently renovated property situated in Iiyama and features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 21 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The property was in a nice location close enough to Iiyama Station. The hosts were some of the nicest people we have met and drove us to and from the station (6:30am!!). One of the comfiest places we have stayed and hope we can go back soon.

A recently renovated guest house in Nozawa Onsen and within 22 km of Ryuoo Ski Park, Oyado Tamayura features ski-to-door access, comfortable allergy-free rooms and free WiFi. It is set 33 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park and offers luggage storage space. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Clean, close to the lifts at the top of the hill, great private onsen, lovely owners and comfortable beds.

Providing free private parking, the 2-star guest house is 7.6 km from Nagano Station. The accommodation provides a shared kitchen and luggage storage space for guests. One of the best accommodations of our entire trip to Japan! The owner couple is incredibly kind and attentive. You can really feel that they are hosts with all their heart! Upon arrival, we were immediately treated to a delicious dessert and tea. Additionally, they provided us with great tips for activities and restaurants near the guesthouse. Every morning, a tasty breakfast was served (soup, fruit, and tea/coffee). The room itself was perfectly equipped and super cozy – including a bathtub to warm up after a cold day! There are four guest rooms, each with its own bathroom, and a shared kitchen. From Nagano Station, there is a bus towards the accommodation (about 25 minutes by bus and a 15-minute walk). We would definitely take this route again. :-) During our stay, the host even kindly drove us to the bus stop twice. Near the guesthouse, there are two large supermarkets, UNIQLO, and a few restaurants (e.g. Ootoya, Hamazushi). 100% recommendation from our side. We hope to stay here again someday! A huge thank you for everything!
