This was such an unforgettable experience. We were supposed to stay for just one night but ended up staying 4! Okay, from the beginning. We had different accommodation in Hakuba, but we weren’t satisfied so we were looking for something else and found Dark Horse by chance. The moment we walked into the house, we were greeted with smiles and warmth. Andy, Rika, Momo and Hana create something truly special. We’ve stayed at hundreds of hotels and such, but this one will stay in our hearts for a long time. Everything is well thought out, you can see it’s taken care of down to the smallest detail, you can see it’s done properly and not just to be the cheapest. We felt so beautifully hosted. They also have an amazing sake collection to try, and the food is delicious too. Thank you again and we already miss it. I hope we’ll get the chance to meet again. PS. If you’re wondering whether to book a room at Dark Horse, don’t hesitate!​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The host is very responsive before, during, and after the stay. Even though the bathroom and showers are shared, all the facilities are clean and the amenities provided, such as coin laundry, a fully-stocked kitchen, and a cosy common area, really exceeded my expectations. AEON mall / supermarket is 5 minutes away and the JR station/bus terminal is about 20 minutes away on foot. Easy peasy in terms of access. Highly recommend!

Nawate Guesthouse có phòng chờ chung, sân hiên, nhà hàng và quầy bar ở Matsumoto. Chỗ nghỉ này có Wi-Fi miễn phí, nằm cách Ga Matsumoto 12 phút đi bộ và Bảo tàng The Japan Ukiyo-e Museum 3.8 km. The hosts were really nice. Great location, the guesthouse is nicely decorated and the beds comfortable. Also you have the possibility to do your laundry there, which is always good.

Location of the lodge was great, easy walking distance into Echoland and a snow shuttle bus stop not far from the front door. The lodge is well appointed and the family room is very accommodating. Breakfast was great served in the lounge area which was available for use at any time with complimentary tea/coffee. The owner was so helpful with suggestions and tips prior to our arrival and the staff looking after the lodge were so friendly, very helpful and extremely customer focused. I would highly recommend the lodge.

I can't thank them enough! The breakfast was delicious and was unique everyday. Can't wait to come back.

A very nice place on the outskirts of Iiyama. Within about 30-40min walk you can get to the spots of interest in Iiyama (museums, shopping street, etc). I found the house to be spacious and clean. It felt like being at my parents' place. The hosts are very kind and caring. They can accomodate within reason pick up at Iiyama station. The hosts recommended me attractions of interest in Iiyama. I enjoyed them a lot. I went in a rainy day and so my things were wet. Especially my shoes, the hosts did their best at drying them without me having to ask or anything. They also provided a place to put my bicycle so it would be protected from the rain. In the morning, they shared home grown watermelon with me. In short, I felt welcomed and I had a warming experience. I absolutely recommend choosing this guest house.

The breakfast was good and served in a very relaxed atmosphere. It was a nice mix of Japanese and Western styles. With a good selection. The staff were always on hand to help out.

Nằm ở Iida, cách Muku Hatoju Memorial Museum 4.8 km, Yamairo guesthouse cung cấp chỗ nghỉ có khu vườn, chỗ đậu xe riêng miễn phí, phòng chờ chung và sân hiên. The old japanese house is mindfully renovated and absolutely amazing.

Shioriya tọa lạc ở Nagano, cách Ga Nagano 7.6 km và Đền thờ Zenkoji 10 km. We had such a wonderful time staying here. I cannot recommend enough! The hosts made it our favorite places we stayed during our 18 day Japan tour.
