The property has sea and mountain views, and is 33 km from Shuzen-ji Temple. The guest house features family rooms. When we arrived (which was late due to traffic) we were greeted by the enthusiasm of the host, he helped us with parking and was very excited to show us the place. We felt very welcome. There are private bathrooms which you can book to bath with your friends/family, one of the best thing about this little gem in Atami:) I was surprised by the cleanliness and the comfort level here. it’s a newly refurbished building, it has three floors with a spacious living room/common room on the second floor which is shared by all the customers here. The room comes with a standard toilet and a shower and quite spacious overall. The tatami bed is comfy. Other reviews complained about the location, but because we drive we think it is an amazing spot! It’s 3 min drive from the famous shrine, and 5 minute to the ginza where there is lots of restaurants and shops. You can also see the fireworks display in the living room if you come on the right times:) We didn’t get the youthful and energetic host’s name, but thank you so much we had a great time staying!!

Effective October 1, 2025, a lodging tax will be introduced by ordinance of Takayama City. In addition to the room charge, 100 yen per person per day will be charged. Please pay in cash or by card upon check-in. Guests under 12 years old are exempt from the lodging tax. Everything was great! Close to the train/bus station, great kitchen and living room area, has an elevator, clean spaces, and lots of tips about Takayama and day trips in the front desk area. Dorms are big and overall pretty comfortable

Very authentic Japanese guest house experience with a lovely host. We stayed 3 nights and it allowed us to really explore Ise, Toba and Futamino rocks. Our host lent us bicycles which was fun to go to the rocks. It was very near a supermarket and local good Isekaya for food.
