The breakfast each morning was amazing and there is also coffee/tea facility in the room and a kitchen facility guests can use. We booked a tuk tuk tour with Bun’s colleague which was brilliant. Our driver was so kind and friendly. Bun even invited us to join him and his friends for a few beers on our last night.

If you're looking for a relaxing, authentic Cambodian experience, Battambang Eco Stay is the place to be.

Our wooden bungalow was charming, clean and functional, the bathroom was basic but it was located upstairs, private and with hot water. The mattress was perfect and the sheets and towels were clean. The shared kitchen is appreciable and you can refill your water bottles for free. Breakfast is plentiful for 3.75 usd half baguette, tea and coffee, homemade jam, fruit and egg. Our hosts welcomed us with a smile, they explained to us how the room and the homestay worked during the stay, they are not intrusive they adapt to travelers. The garden is beautiful with large trees that keep the freshness and a large pond with fish. If you are looking for a homestay with a family and caring welcome you will be in the right place. On the other hand, if you are more used to resorts or boutique hotels this place will not be for you.

My talk most about there stay here, more than the five star resort we also enjoyed on our trip. Food is fantastic, coffee amazing! Saro is a kind man who clearly loves his country and family. He also likes people/ and this is evident in his interactions with others. Family meal time was made all the better by our fellow guests whose company and conversation were delightful. As an ethical option, my heart is full. I felt safe, welcomed and cared for.

John and Anut were amazing hosts. They made sure you're a well cared for. Went out for coffee in the morning, got some breakfast at the local market. Even took me on an outing for the day to their second property in the country. Anut, John and I had some great conversations. I hung out with Kimlang and UTI in the gardens. Kimlang is an excellent cook. I would highly recommend meal there. The room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. And they were just nice people to hang out with. He will just love a Anut's smile.
