Lake House is incredible. Try to get one of the rooms upstairs as you have a better view of the monkeys and squirrels climbing the palm trees. Not only are the hosts friendly and welcoming, they are excellent sources of travel advice and really make your travel planning easy. Bicycles are available and this is an excellent way to see the sites nearby. And the food!!! The breakfasts are absolutely scrumptious with huge helpings - you won't need lunch. The photo shows the view from the breakfast area, where you can chat with other travellers if you wish. The room is comfortable and clean. Unlimited drinking water available day and night. Lake House isn't about having enough power points (there aren't) or having a wardrobe or similar for your stuff (there isn't). It's about unbelievable value, in all senses of the word.

The rooms are clean and very comfortable, and the accommodation is well located for visiting the sites of Anuradhapura. The hosts are incredibly generous and hospitable. They did everything to make us feel comfortable and helped us organize our visits. And above all, we had the best Sri Lankan breakfast of our entire trip!!! The owner and the entire team were incredibly warm, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure my trip was unforgettable. They organized an amazing safari for me, making the experience completely hassle-free. The location is perfect, offering a serene and picturesque setting that feels like a true escape into nature. The Sri Lankan food served here was exceptional – fresh, flavorful, and authentic. This is an ideal place for anyone visiting Wilpattu National Park. Highly recommended for the location, hospitality, and overall experience!

Apresentando bicicletas gratuitas, jardim e acesso Wi-Fi gratuito, Wilpattu Mookalan Resort situa-se em Habawewa, a 39 km de Kumbichchan Kulama Tank e a 39 km de Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi. We had an amazing experience in Wikpattu Mooklan Resort! The owner and his son were taking care of us all the time and organized a great safari! It was a full day trip at a very affordable price, We managed to see 3 leopards, bear, elefant, crocodiles, tones of deers, and many, many other species of mammals, reptiles and birds. At night we could hear a lot of animals and it was an extremely peaceful time. The food was delicious and made with love. Absolutely recommended place!

I wish I had more than one night in this beautiful property. From before arrival to departure the hosts could not have done more to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. They reached out to see if they could offer any assistance and after hearing we were travelling via train, offered to pick us up in their tuk. Although it was only 2 km from the station, we were grateful as it started raining just before we arrived. On arrival we were offered a welcome drink and shown the rooms. It’s a very private property, set apart from the main house, and offers 2 separate rooms which are perfect for families and small groups. The rooms are well designed and appointed with mosquito nets, a/c and hot water. There are great views from inside and out, with a number of different areas to sit, relax and enjoy the lake views. We enjoyed a fantastic home cooked dinner in the outdoor covered dining area and breakfast in the elevated hut on the lakefront which was perfect for watching all the birds. The dining area also had a fridge (if you want to byo), kettle and filtered water. We chose this place due to its proximity to Hurulu (the hosts also helped with organising the safari), but I hope to return and enjoy more of the great food and hospitality.

Kalhara is the perfect host , highly attentive and thoughtful about every small detail. The rooms are spacious, with a minimal aesthetic, well maintained and super clean. Every meal was a lovely home cooked spread, accommodating certain dietary restrictions . One of the best stay experiences I had during my two week trip in Srilanka.

Peaceful, set back about 75m from the road. Beautifully appointed rooms and a welcoming dining/reception area - exactly as shown in the photos on this site. What the photos do not reveal is the exceptional service and kindness of the owner and all of his staff. Nor do they convey the outstanding quality of the meals served. It is rare to find a welcoming home away from home as good as Golden Ray Villa and I cannot recommend it highly enough.

I spent three nights at Oleena Homestay and had an amazing experience. Jeewa provided great recommendations for things to do in the area, helped organise transport, and even took me on a day trip to Pidurangala and Dambulla in his tuk tuk. The home-cooked meals by Masha were absolutely delicious — a perfect introduction to Sri Lankan cuisine. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Jeewa and Masha truly went above and beyond to take care of their guests. I would highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Habarana and the surrounding area.
