They organized an amazing safari for me, making the experience completely hassle-free. The location is perfect, offering a serene and picturesque setting that feels like a true escape into nature. The Sri Lankan food served here was exceptional – fresh, flavorful, and authentic. This is an ideal place for anyone visiting Wilpattu National Park. Highly recommended for the location, hospitality, and overall experience!

Everything was perfect and very clean! You cannot be closer to Wilpattu National Park, the park gates are literally in front of the homestay. Lovely family that can organize safari trips for you and meals too! I had an amazing full-day safari and we saw everything! Even the leopards! I also booked with a naturalist and it was definitely worth it. So much fun to learn about all the animals. Thank you so much!

The best place we stayed at! The room was spacious and clean. Each room has its own terrace, and there’s also plenty of seating in the beautiful garden. Every morning, we had breakfast in the treehouse overlooking the lake. Gamini and his wife are such lovely hosts. He picked us up from the train station, organized a safari and an Ayurveda treatment for us, and took us on a tour to see Sigiriya/Pidurangala Rock and the temples in Dambulla. His wife prepared delicious dinners and breakfasts for us. They always made sure we had everything we needed and made us feel very welcome. The Wi-Fi was also good.

PROPERTY: Lovely homestay surrounded by trees and lovely garden.The room was spotlessly clean, spacious and airy. All the facilities like hot water, airconditioning, water pressure etc was perfect. BREAKFAST:Our breakfast was included and it was the best we had in Srilanka.Its varied everyday and its plentiful and very tasty.(SEE PHOTOS) We had 2 dinners cooked by his wife and they were delicious and generous portions. TOURS: Host Kalhara will organize tours at reasonable rate and his driver is a very nice person. we did a tour and driver was very patient and took us around paddy fields. He also made us breakfast ready at 430am to take with us to the safari, including coffee in an insulated flask. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean. The small touches like including a mosquito coil at our table at our second breakfast was much appreciated!

The location is right next to the temple district, which is convenient for sightseeing. The family that runs the place are incredibly kind. They made sure that we were comfortable throughout our stay and helped us to rent bicycles and to find our bus at the station. The husband brought us in their tuktuk to these places. Their cooking is out of this world! We tried many of the dishes on the menu and all contained deep flavours, were freshly made and very filling. Some of the best food we ever had and for a good price. There is a nice 10 minute walk to the lake and the daughters accompanied us, thanks for the lovely chat! Bird-lovers can eat their heart out; while sitting in the relaxing chairs next to the pond at the resort we spotted many waterbirds, kingfishers, pelicans, hornbills, bee-eaters, eagles etc etc They have almost finished building a new, luxurious room at the second floor with great views over the rice fields.
