The home cooked food is prepared with love. You like spicy? Suba prepares a flavorful hot meal. Dont like spice much? Suba will create a beautuful mild dish. The room we stayed in was spacious and comfortable. We had plenty of privacy and had a great night of rest when we were there. I appreciated0 learning about history of the area through Lalaas eyes. Stayed here during our motorcycle trip to Mannar to snap some photos of flamingos and migratory birds, and honestly, it was a great find. The place is brand new, super clean, and the rooms are really spacious with solid, good-quality furniture — nothing cheap or flimsy. There’s a chill shared space with a well-equipped kitchen if you feel like cooking or making yourself a tea or coffee, and a comfy little lobby with sofas where you can hang out and chat with other travelers. Ended up meeting folks from Germany, Italy, France, and the US — really cool mix of people. The house runs on solar power, which I loved — eco-friendly without making a fuss about it. The owners are genuinely lovely people, running the place in a fair and honest way. It’s got that rare combo of comfort and community. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the donkey clinic for a couple nights and got to know the impact of this place. We highly recommend you come stay at the clinic or at least come for a proper tour and get to know the donkeys and the people behind the project. It was ok for 2 nights but the size of the room was very small for 2 people. It is wrong in the description. It would be nice to correct it so the guests know what to expect. There is a balcony but no chairs so I don't understand the point of having a balcony without chairs. We didn't want to be sitting in the small room so we were sitting outside on the terrace floor! Not very comfortable.
