This is an amazing place to stay in Sigirya, very close to the “center”, but far away enough to feel like you’re in a retreat. The host family however is the best about it. They are very friendly, and helpful. They will make sure you have the best experiences, not just inside, but to arrange activities. Everything was clean and the breakfast is really amazing

His insightful and engaging presentation before the climb gave us a deeper understanding of the site and made the experience even more memorable. Saman ensured everything went smoothly, from providing easy access to the ticketing office to assisting with every detail along the way. The accommodation was perfect, with a delicious breakfast and an ideal location just a short walk from the entrance to Sigiriya Rock. This experience was truly everything we hoped for and more—highly recommended!"

Outstanding service. Angie was wonderful and helped us with anything we needed, she booked tuk tuks and driver. The room (mountain view room) was beautiful as well, with amazing views and very clean. Breakfast was very good. Very clean swimming pool and they give you pool towels which was much appreciated.

After somewhat difficult arrival because of the night rain and small car we had :-) we were kindly welcomed by our nice host Kumari, with whom we had an really interesting evening conversations during our stay. The room is nice and equipped. The breakfast was very good, freshly prepared, with local specialities. Located in a small settlement inside the jungle, one can really enjoy the nature around - and visit Sigiriya and surroundings.

This place was incredible. From the moment we arrived we felt relaxed and comfortable. The gardens are absolutely gorgeous and due to the heavy rain when we visited we spent a lot of time drinking tea and sitting on the covered porch. The hosts were very attentive and available but not over bearing. They gave us tuk tuk rides at a good price to pidurangala rock and Sigiriya rock. The room was spotless and so comfortable. We’ve been in Sri Lanka now for 2 weeks and this was our favourite accommodation.

The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The patties were some of the best I’ve ever had. They also served bananas grown on their own farm, called "Naga bananas." I was surprised by their rich, sticky texture. Whenever I asked for help with things I wanted to do or places I wanted to visit, they immediately made arrangements. They were incredibly reliable and helpful. Also, their child was so cute—it was very heartwarming.

Pidurangala View Treehouse, um alojamento com um jardim e um terraço, encontra-se em Sigiriya, a 1,6 km de Ruínas do Mosteiro Ritigala, 1,8 km de Rochedo de Sigiriya e a 3,7 km de Wildlife Range... I loved sleeping in a forest-like environment. I really missed it, and this treehouse was a lovely stay in that regard. The noise/sounds/music from the forest at night is the best. We really enjoyed everything: the treehouse, the view on the rock, the Loris tour at night, the breakfasts/lunches/dinners, and the simple but clean facilities, the safari... Make sure to discuss with the host about the different activities you can do around the rock (time, price, etc.). The host will help you out the best that he can, including dropping you at 5am at the bottom of the rock if necessary! Very kind family, business encouraged, I would come back there 100%.

Villa Hanguk is an ideal spot if you plan to explore the Dambulla area. The owner is incredibly helpful, offering assistance with scooter or tuk-tuk rentals and organizing local trips. The villa is nestled just 400 meters from the main city street, surrounded by lush paddy fields. The beautifully maintained garden is filled with vibrant plants and flowers, offering plenty of cozy spots to relax—whether in a hammock, at a dining area, or playing table games. Being in the middle of nature, you can expect the delightful sounds of wildlife, including peacocks. It truly adds to the charm of the place. One of the highlights of our stay was the Sri Lankan food. The meals were not only delicious but also generously portioned. I highly recommend skipping outside restaurants and instead asking the staff to prepare dinner for you—you won’t be disappointed!
