Samon and his son were very helpful. They gave me free rides to the town by motorcycle. Big and delicious breakfast every day on the patio overlook the beautiful garden.. Huge bed and nice hot shower. Highly recommended.

It is beautiful accommodation in a fantastic location with an array of wildlife at your doorstep! They arranged everything for us at ease and great prices. We stayed for 2 nights. Our flight landed at 3am and Sunshine Villas had pickup waiting to bring us straight to the accommodation. On arrival they had a beautiful breakfast waiting. They then accommodated our early check in. After a nap we were brought to the elephant safari by one of the sunshine villa staff which was incredible. They then arranged a tuk tuk driver for us for day 2! I couldnt rate more highly! The staff are so helpful and polite. The room was immaculate with hot water, and a choice of air con or a fan! I would rate 10/10

Always available to make our stay better. They arrange tuk tuk, safari and transport to our next destination. We met the owner, lovely and so attentive. The cabin was very cute and clean. We had a terrace with couple of chairs to chill. Also have hammocks. On top of the cabin there is the tree house where the staff organised breakfast for us. The tree house has increíble views. Peaceful place. Full of trees, cero noise except for the birds. We spent hours and hours just chilling and relaxing. Everything was so easy. This was really the highlight of our trip, nothing have been as good as this place. The staff are there to really make your life easier so you just spend the time enjoying. A heavenly tropical escape. Thank you so much. We will miss this place.

The room was very nice and cozy, with a cute balcony and a very nice view into the family garden. The hosts were super friendly and helpful. The free cooking class was also amazing. We learned so much about the traditional foods and culture in Sri Lanka. Wish we could’ve stayed here longer!

Make sure you try some of her cooking for the dinner as it’s better than many restaurants we’ve tried. Also, she will help you organize anything from a local tuk tuk, Safari to a taxi ride further away! Thanks so much for having us!

The rooms for spotless and comfortable and the location very convenient. It’s a family-run property, who are nothing less than absolutely delightful and very accommodating. Our meals were freshly prepared, delicious and plentiful. They offer Sri Lankan cooking lessons onsite which I highly recommend! A lot of the ingredients we used were collected from the garden 🥰 I’m so looking forward to visiting again in the future and would recommend this place to all!

I loved sleeping in a forest-like environment. I really missed it, and this treehouse was a lovely stay in that regard. The noise/sounds/music from the forest at night is the best. We really enjoyed everything: the treehouse, the view on the rock, the Loris tour at night, the breakfasts/lunches/dinners, and the simple but clean facilities, the safari... Make sure to discuss with the host about the different activities you can do around the rock (time, price, etc.). The host will help you out the best that he can, including dropping you at 5am at the bottom of the rock if necessary! Very kind family, business encouraged, I would come back there 100%.

The villa is nestled just 400 meters from the main city street, surrounded by lush paddy fields. The beautifully maintained garden is filled with vibrant plants and flowers, offering plenty of cozy spots to relax—whether in a hammock, at a dining area, or playing table games. Being in the middle of nature, you can expect the delightful sounds of wildlife, including peacocks. It truly adds to the charm of the place. One of the highlights of our stay was the Sri Lankan food. The meals were not only delicious but also generously portioned. I highly recommend skipping outside restaurants and instead asking the staff to prepare dinner for you—you won’t be disappointed!
